History of dog friendly holidays Queensland.

We are a family of 4 with a pet miniature fox terrier called Arthur.  Like so many other dog owners, we found holiday planning was always difficult. Should we use a kennel? Or find someone to look after him while we went away? Either way it was sad to leave him behind. Many times we had taken him on day trips to the beach. On one fateful occasion we visited Peregian Beach. The whole family (including Arthur) fell in love with this magical beach. So we started searching for the perfect dog friendly beach house and to our delight found Orangewood.

Then we thought of others who may be in the same situation as us, facing the dilemma of not taking their pets with them when they are holidaying. That’s when Dog Friendly Holidays was born.

Shortly after we added Palms beach House and Pebbles beach House to our list of Pet Freindly Accommodation. Over the years we developed a wonderful business helping pet owners holiday with their dogs. We added Hotsands at Sunshine beach a few years ago and recently included Broadleys in our collection of Dog Friendly Holiday Homes.

We are now the largest privately owned Pet Friendly Accommodation site in Queensland. However we cant keep up with demand. With most of our houses at close to or at 100% occupancy we need more pet friendly beach houses for our loyal guests who keep coming back year after year.

Soon we would like to expand our wesite to allow other pet owners of pet friendly accommodation to advertise on our website. If you are interested we would love to hear from you. In mid 2010 we will launch our new website that will allow other properties to be added to our list of pet friendly accommodation.

Ultimately we would like to be the website to visit for a Dog Friendly Holiday anywhere in Australia. But for now we will focus on Pet Friendly Accommodation Sunshine Coast and Pet Friendly Accommodation Queensland.
